Hello everyone…

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this blog… hasn’t it? Well the main reason is that I have been quite busy with my affiliate marketing…

Anyways, today I want to introduce you to a Super Affiliate Marketer – Willie Crawford and tell you about a fantastic interview that you should check out.

Willie Crawford has been online since 1996. Apart from being a highly successful affiliate marketer, Willie also has his own products including ebooks, Audios and DVDs.  He is an international speaker and business mentor and owns over 200 active websites.

Now the interview I am talking about is an exclusive interview where Willie is interviewed by Jeremy Gilsason and Simon Hodgkinson (two extremely successful internet marketers). I found that the interview was both interesting and informative, and I want to just highlight two valuable bits of information that Willie talked about in the interview.

1) You should treat your affiliate marketing business as your own business despite the fact that you are actually selling other peoples’ products.

2) You should be building a relationship with the people that visit your website.

Both of these approaches help to build a serious affiliate marketing business.

Over the past few weeks I have been identifying various steps to succeeding as an affiliate marketer. These are based on my own experience… knowing where I have been and where I am now.

I have talked about 1) having the right mindset, 2) making an investment to learn affiliate marketing and 3) picking a niche.

Well today I want to talk about another very important step – Keyword Research.

I wouldn’t be lying if I said that everyday I see more and more how important keyword research is!

But why do you even need keyword research:

> To get an idea of what the demand is like in your niche – if there isn’t a demand, then you’re wasting your time.

> To know which search terms (keywords) people are using in find information related to your niche.

> To gauge what your competition is like.

> To decide on which keywords you are going to target for your advertising and for building your inbound links

… You see, one of the best ways to get traffic to your websites is through the search engines. But, in order to do that, you must rank high in the search engine results (preferably in the first 10 results) for targeted keywords related to your niche

… And you can only do that through proper keyword research and search engine optimization (SEO). I have learned that one of the most important factors related to SEO is the number of inbound links to your site from high traffic sites.

In my opinion, one of the best sites for doing proper keyword research is Nichebot…. Simply because it has a lot of features that other keyword research software (that I have used) don’t have.

So, please…. don’t neglect the importance of keyword research.

Today I wanted to share some good news….

About a week ago I did a Super Affiliates Review and in it I mentioned that by implementing just one of the techniques I learned from the material, I was able to get a #1 Rank in Google for a very targeted keyword, which resulted in two sales for the product I was promoting.

Well… I have some more good news to report.

Every day this week, I have earned commissions for one or more of the products I’ve been promoting!

And this is as a result of the techniques I have been implementing from Super Affiliates in addition to having to having the right mindset.

I hope I can return again with some more great news….

Because of increased level of success, I would recommend that anyone wanting to earn serious money with affiliate marketing should definitely consider becoming a member of Super Affiliates!

Today I want to share my own personal review of Ewen Chia’s SuperAffiliates.com.

There is a link at the end of this post where you can read my full review of this affiliate marketing membership site. However, I want to just highlight a few points.

1/ I think that SuperAffiliates.com is a great membership site. However, if you have not yet developed the right mindset and your not taking your affiliate marketing business serious… then don’t join this club

2/ You are provided with a lot of material… and I mean alot of material. There are over 130 files to download consisting of pdfs, videos and audios. So be aware that you may take some time to go through all of the material.

3/ Ewen does in fact reveal some new and very useful techniques… well at least they were useful to me.

4/ One such technique allowed me to get #1 position in Google! Now this #1 position isn’t for a search term that has a lot of traffic, but its very targetted for the particular niche and it did result in two sales for the product I was promoting.

I absolutely believe that if your are dedicated, focused and you follow the steps recommended by Ewen, you would be a successful affiliate marketer.

One of the most import lessons I have learned in my affiliate marketing experience is that you must take action in order to see results.

Not taking action is one of the greatest set-backs experienced by new affiliate marketers. You have got to invest your time and effort to learn affiliate marketing and then you must TAKE ACTION.

There are several solid affiliate marketing courses out there, but for you to see results, you have got to implement the strategies and techniques that you learn.

A common trend amongst people interested in making money online is to buy a “make money online” course with the hope that somewhere in the material there would be some magical method to help them get lots of money quickly… with little effort. However, when they see that making money online does in fact required considerable effort, they close the book and take no action… yet expect to see results.

This is the wrong attitude…. this is the wrong approach.

What I simply want to encourage you to do today is to take action… build that website, write that new article, start that new blog… do something to further your business. Trust me you will start to see results.

As I have indicated before, I created this blog to share my experience about affiliate marketing.

I have great interest and passion for using the Internet to create a passive income for myself. Because of this passion, there was a time in the past when I would spend several hours searching the Internet for money making opportunities. I have found many, participated in a few and have been successful with little.

The model of affiliate marketing was really the start of me actually make some money online. However, I wasn’t really that successful until I started doing something really important… and that’s what I want to share with you today.

An important step before you begin to learn affiliate marketing and build your affiliate marketing business is Developing The Right Mindset.

Let me share with you what will happen if you don’t develop the right mindset:

• You are going to continue spending hours online searching for the “easy get rich quick” ways to make money online
• You are going  to be jumping from this opportunity to that opportunity
• You are going to be spending a lot of money on courses that teach you how to make money online… you are going to be easily influenced into buying these ebooks… you know the ones that say “you can make thousands of dollars daily… with little effort”
• You are going to buy one of these courses, read it (maybe not even the entire course), not implement the strategies recommended, see no results, give up on the course, then buy another course.
• You are not going to be making any serious money
• You are going to become frustrated and eventually, you are going to give up

What I have indicated above is based on my own experience as well as fellow affiliate marketers.

… So then what should you do?

• Pick one of the courses I recommend to learn affiliate marketing.
• Follow the steps taught in these courses… stay focus… take action… don’t get distracted by “the next big money making opportunity”
• Start making some serious money online

I hope you take what I have share with you today to heart… because it will make the difference with your success and your failure with affiliate marketing

One the main reason I started AffiliateMarketingLessons.com is to share my view on what are the best (based on my personal experience) course available to learn affiliate marketing.

You see, because of my great interest in affiliate marketing, I found myself purchasing numerous courses on the topic. Some were a waste of time and money, some were ok, but overpriced, others were informative and had fresh content… and some were great.

I have sifted through all of these and I want to tell you about the ones that were great. So what is my criteria for picking these “great” products…

1/ It explains the basics and fundamentals of affiliate marketing well… what it is, basic techniques, things to be aware off, etc.

2/ The content isn’t rehashed. A lot of the affiliate marketing courses out there tell you the same thing. I prefer fresh, somewhat unique content

3/ It gives you a system to follow. The system should be presented in a step-by-step manner and each step should be discussed to an appropriate level of detail. An appropriate level of detail is what to do, how to do it, where to find the recourses to do it, etc.

4/ It tells you what resources to use to get traffic to your site. But not just where to find the resources to use… it should also tell you exactly how to use the resource and how to maximize on the use of those resources.

5/ It should cost a reasonable and fair price…

A significant part of my intention for AffiliateMarketingLessons.com is to do personal review of affiliate marketing courses… course that I have personally read.

Today, I would like to introduce one such review. It’s my review of Ewen Chia’s Affiliate of The Month.

Ewen is one of those superaffiliates that I have great respect for. I have learned a lot from his courses and I believe that Affiliate of the Month is one of his best.

There are two things that really stood out for me…

1/ The traffic cheat sheet – Ewen provides a step-by-step plan for promoting affiliate products

2/ The affiliate marketing videos – Ewen provides videos for each of the 3 modules of this course… including videos showing how to properly implement the strategies for generating traffic.

I was on an affiliate marketing forum where I cam across a post by “newbie” asking what was good affiliate marketing system to follow. I made a reply to the post and thought that I would share my answer on my blog.

Here is a brief overview of the system:

Step 1 – Develop the right mindset. To succeed online, having the right mindset is very important. You have to think of affiliate marketing as a real business and not just something that you do by the side.

Step 2 – Learn Affiliate Marketing. Educate yourself about the basics of affiliate marketing… and then build up to the more advanced techniques. Educating yourself is the building block to success. Start by gathering the best information you can find about affiliate marketing and absorbing it.

I have read a lot of affiliate marketing courses and I have found these to be two of the better ones – Affiliate Of The Month and Affiliate Cash Secrets. (The links on each one lead to my personal review of the courses)

Step 3 – Pick your target market or niche. As a beginner, it is preferable that you enter into a niche for which you have a personal interest in or passion for… This makes creating unique content much easier.

Step 4 – Do some keyword research. Keyword research is important because you want to first see what is the level of demand for your chosen niche and what are the particular keywords that people in your niche are using to find information. I use Nichebot to do all my keyword research

Step 5 – Create an offer and build a list. Create an offer for your particular niche, perhaps by offering a free report and ask your visitors for their names and email addresses to gain access to the report. It is important to build a list and more importantly to build a relationship with the people on your list.

Step 6 – Drive traffic to your offer. In this step, you will want to market your site. There are numerous ways that you can market your site… Pay Per Click (not the best for beginners), article marketing, forum marketing, blogging, Q&A Sites, etc.

Step 7 – Expand. You can expand in a number of ways. One example of expanding is entering or marketing cross-linked sub-niches. If you are in the dog training niche, you can do cross-linked marketing for dog toys or pet care, etc.

Important - It is critical that you take action. Once you have educated yourself with the various marketing techniques… take action like there is no tomorrow. Use one technique, say article marketing… get comfortable with it, then go on to another technique. Don’t sit back and wait to things to happen.
